St. Pius X Celebrates Catholic Schools Week
From January 28 through February 3, St. Pius X Catholic High School will join Catholic schools across the nation in the annual National Catholic Schools Week. This event is a celebration of Catholic education in the United States. Throughout this week, schools focus on the value that a Catholic education provides to students through contributions to our church, communities, and nation.
This year's theme is “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” St. Pius X joins schools throughout the country with the Many Gifts, One Nation: A Day of Giving to Catholic Schools 24 hour giving campaign, sponsored by the NCEA. Please consider a gift in honor of the mission of St. Pius X. For more information or to give (starting 9 a.m. on January 30 through 9 a.m. January 31), please click HERE.
On Wednesday, seven students from St. Pius X will join representatives from throughout the Archdiocese of Atlanta at the Catholic Schools Week Mass at St. Michael the Archangel in Woodstock, Georgia.
Finally, on Friday, February 2, St. Pius X will celebrate our annual Heritage Day, honoring one of the founding religious orders of St. Pius X with an out-of-uniform day. This year, we will be supporting the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. Students will have the opportunity to donate $5 or more in order to come out-of-uniform. The mission of the Sisters of Carondelet is as stated:
Stimulated by the Holy Spirit of Love and receptive to His inspirations, the Sister of St. Joseph moves always towards profound love of God and love of neighbor without distinction.
We sincerely thank the Sisters of Carondelet for their help laying the foundation of our school.
