Prayer

“God’s goodness is infinite, and if my trust is in Him, I shall not be abandoned.” – Pope St. Pius X

As Catholic School family we believe that prayer “is the life of the new heart. It ought animate us at every moment” (CCC 2697) and so we seek to provide many opportunities throughout our school day and year for our school family to come together and pray for the world, the Church, and the needs of our school community. In addition to daily Mass, monthly All School Mass, daily morning prayer, daily afternoon prayer, and prayer at the beginning of all classes, the following opportunities are available for our school family:

Parent Faith Formation

Parents are invited to a Parent Faith Formation Night sponsored by Campus Ministry on February 10, 2021 from 7-8pm in the Young Center. Navigating the spiritual life of the home can seem like a daunting task in today’s world, and families are not meant to do it alone. Join us for an evening on Theology of Home: Realizing the Responsibility of Forming the Domestic Church. An RSVP is required for both in person and via Zoom – please register HERE. Raffle prizes will be offered. A live-stream option will be provided for families at home. For questions or more information, please contact Fr. Rey Pineda or Mrs. Bettencourt.

St. Pius X Prayer Chain

Parents, students, faculty, and alumni are welcome to join this email prayer chain. Members of the prayer chain commit to praying for the intentions that are sent out electronically via the prayer chain and for the needs and intentions of our school community. Members of the St. Pius X family are invited to send prayer intentions requests to join the prayer chain to prayers@spx.org

St. Pius X Mother’s Prayer Group

All St. Pius X parents are invited to join us monthly to pray for the intentions of our students. The group meets monthly in the Chapel to pray for the intentions of our students. Prayer begins at 8:30 AM in the Chapel. On some mornings there may be a speaker following prayer, however, parents should feel welcome to depart after prayer if there schedule does not allow them to stay for the speaker.
