Senior Yearbook Ads The deadline for purchasing a yearbook ad for your senior is Tuesday, November 6. All ads are created and purchased online directly through our yearbook publishing company. Save the date for St. Pius X Catholic High School's annual Open House on November 4 from 1 - 4 p.m. Please join us for presentations by President Chad Barwick and Principal Steve Spellman. The Pius Players open this season on October 19 with Antigone by Sophocles, a modern adaption by Bonnie Roberts. Our production, set in the 60s, features music, film, and costumes from the hippie era. Musical accompaniment, on percussion, will be performed by Mr. Matt Lammers, from our own St. Pius X Science Department. Tickets will be on sale this week in the cafeteria during all lunch periods. Over the past 60 years, St. Pius X has become what the first administrators and students could have only imagined. Congratulations to the St. Pius X Water Polo B team who capped an undefeated season with the Division 3 Championship in the State Tournament this past weekend. The Lions won on a penalty shot in sudden death to take the championship. Go Lions!

The Harvard Debate Council was founded in 2017 in an effort to increase minority representation at the program's summer residency. Sophomore Darryl Cooper has passed three debate "auditions" for the program and is one of 26 students in the State of Georgia who made the final cut on Sunday, September 23. Cooper will begin training with the program and hopes to be one of the 400 students selected from across the nation to train under Harvard's coach on the school's campus this summer. Training... The Speech and Debate Team competed in the North Hall Debate Tournament this past weekend. Congratulations to Joey Tarnowski '20 for taking first place at the tournament! This is in addition to his quarterfinal finish at the University of Kentucky tournament in early September.
