Our Mothers’ Club Dresden Partnership committee has started the Annual School Supplies Collection Drive. Please see the linked flyer DRESDEN SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE 2019 and help fill a great need at our neighborhood school. Since Dresden is a Title 1 school with mostly lower-income families, many students come to school with no school supplies at all. Attention all Spring Sports Student-Athletes All Coke orders are due this Thursday, March 14.  Orders can be placed online or using the regular paper order forms.  Paper forms and payments need to be turned into Mrs. Melinda Martin on the Gym hallway next to the training room.

On Friday, the symphonic band performed for Large Group Performance Evaluation at Newton High School in Covington. The band had a terrific performance earning excellent and superior ratings. Students prepared very challenging music at a high level, and gave a moving performance.

Junior Josie Lord was named the November female student-athlete for the Second Annual MaxPreps Semper Fidelis High School Athlete of the Month Award, presented by the United States Marine Corps. Freshman Ayden Hess, a member of the Division 3 state championship St Pius X water polo team, recently competed in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) National Championships in Riverside, California.  Competing against teams from geographic zones around the country, Ayden played for the Southeast zone in the Cadet age division. Congratulations to the Men's and Women's Ensemble! The Men's and Women's Chorus Ensemble  performed at Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE) on Wednesday. LGPE is sponsored by the Georgia Music Educators Association.  The ensemble scored "Superior" in both performance and site reading. Re-enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year is open. Your FACTS account will automatically be charged your non-refundable re-enrollment fee unless you contact the Business Office by the deadline to let them know you do not intend to return next year. The deadline to complete your forms is Friday, February 22. Families who do not complete the forms on time will be charged a $50 late fee each month until all are submitted.
