New year…new opportunities! When New Year’s Day has rolled around in the past, have you ever vowed to get healthier? To exercise more? To be in better shape for the upcoming year? My bet is that most of us have. I don’t know about you, but it tends to be a busy schedule that leads me away from my best intentions to get fit, and honestly that is a huge part of the challenges for our students as well. Many of our students want to take our weight training class to allow them to complete their... Happy New Year! St. Pius X is back to life again with students and activities in full swing. On January 6, the feast of the Epiphany, Fr. Michael Bremer took time to offer a blessing for each classroom and office on campus. In Matthew Chapter 2, three Magi went to visit the baby Jesus. Thousands of years later, Christians celebrate the act of giving gifts to God–their time, talent, and treasure–and reflecting on how God is grateful for these gifts. The tradition of the blessing is to say a... Construction is nearly complete on the Seaver Family Sports Complex lights and plans are underway to officially flip the switch on January 25! Donating stock directly to St. Pius X Catholic High School is one of the most tax advantageous ways to give. Say you have a share of Apple stock you purchased at $50 a share a few years ago. Today, those shares are worth $175 a share. If you sold that share, you would pay capital gains tax on the $125 gain, giving a portion of your gain to the government. Instead, if you donate that share to St. Pius, you get to deduct the full $175 as a charitable donation, while forgoing the capital gains tax... Read More
