Longtime St. Pius X Golden Lion supporter and volunteer Tom Novack passed away peacefully on November 3 following the opportunity to cheer his Atlanta Braves on to victory in the World Series. For over 25 years, Tom and his beloved wife Joanne supported the St. Pius X community by running the concession stand, which was named in their honor. St. Pius X will be celebrating our annual Heritage Day fundraiser in conjunction with our National Honor Society food drive. Friday, February 5 will be a $10 out of uniform fundraiser for both our in-person population as well as our virtual population. $5 will go to support The Grey Nuns of The Sacred Heart, one of the founding orders of St. Pius X, and $5 will support the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry in lieu of the NHS canned food drive. Toiletry bags for the homeless are now being collected in bins located outside the front office. Please drop off any unopened travel sized shampoos/rinse, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, lotions, chap stick, combs and soaps. Collection will be available thru February 1.
