Congratulations to the St. Pius X Water Polo team who took third place in the State Championship tournament this past weekend. After losing a very tight semifinal game to Norcross by one goal, the Lions rallied back in the third place game to defeat the Southern Crescent team of Fayetteville by a score of 7-3. Junior Ian Grum was recently named to the USA Swimming 2017 National Select Camp roster. Only the top 3 swimmers nationwide in each event are selected for this prestigious honor. Camp will be held October 26th-29th at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. The St. Pius X Softball Team will host its annual Pink Out game Monday, September 25 at 5:30 p.m. as the team hosts rival Chamblee Charter High School. Congratulations to sophomore Morgan Vaden who was named West Strider of the Month by West Stride. Vaden was honored for her skill on the course and also her strength in leadership. The Roar Store will be pre-selling tickets to the SPX vs. Marist football game. Parents and friends can take advantage of the pre-sale. Students do not need a ticket. Roar Store ticket sale hours are September 6 - 8 from 8:00AM-3:00PM. The Roar Store is closed each day for lunch from 1:00-2:00 PM. Tickets are $7.00 each and may be charged to FACTS.

On Friday, Sept. 1 the Golden Lion football team will travel to Savannah to take on Benedictine. You may purchase tickets in advance here. Benedictine has also instituted a new clear bag policy which can be viewed here.
