St. Pius X Catholic High School classmates Gunnar Bentz '14 and Daniel Haugh '14 clinched spots on the 2020 United States Olympic Team last month. Congratulations to Ayden Hess, Jameson Chatfield and Cooper Howard who have been select to compete on the Olympic Development Program Southeast Zone team for USA Water Polo. St. Pius X Catholic High School is excited to announce Andy Harlin has been selected to lead the Golden Lion Baseball program beginning with the 2021- 2022 academic year. Harlin served as the head coach at St. Pius X from 1993-2001. He will take over the baseball program from Chad Garrison, who was recently selected as head coach of the St. Pius X football program. Senior Mary Brady has been named the 2020-21 Gatorade Georgia Girls Cross Country Player of the Year. Brady is the first Gatorade Georgia Girls Cross Country Player of the Year to be chosen from St. Pius X Catholic High School. She becomes the eighth Golden Lion student-athlete to earn Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year in their respective sports. Last week saw the Golden Lions in action in all but one spring sport. Girls' soccer dropped to the second spot in the Score Atlanta AAAAA state poll, while the boys' soccer team remains in the No. 3 spot.
