Class of 2010 alumni Sean Underwood will participate in the world famous 1,100 mile Iditarod sled dog race starting on March 7. Originally hoping to debut in the race next year, Underwood was called in to serve as replacement for Jeff King (four time champion) following emergency surgery. Approval for Underwood to race came in Tuesday with unanimous consent from the Iditarod Review Board.  To read the full article, please click here and be sure to follow the race, which begins this weekend.

Class of 2015 graduate Brian Rainwater recently graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy. He is currently serving as a commissioned ensign in the Navy. On May 18, 2019, Rainwater helped organize the first traditional Latin Mass celebrated in the Mariners' Memorial Chapel on the campus of the United States Merchant Marine Academy in 50 years.
