Junior Ansley Boykin has won the 2018 Junior Study Abroad Scholarship for her achievement on the National Spanish Examination and for her excellent skills in the Spanish language. This national award, valued at over $3,500, is given each year to twenty-four students from across the United States who became eligible by earning high scores on the National Spanish Examination and then submitting samples of their written and oral work in Spanish to a selection committee. The St. Pius X Latin program is pleased to announce our winners from this year's National Latin Exam. Sponsored by the American Classical League and the National Junior Classical League, the National Latin Exam is offered nationally to students on seven levels. Questions span topics such as "grammar, comprehension, mythology, derivatives, literature, Roman life, history, geography, oral Latin, and Latin in use in the modern world." St. Pius X will be open tomorrow, Thursday, March 8. Water pressure has been restored. However, the boil water advisory is still in effect, therefore, we will take the following precautions: Water fountains and sinks will be inaccessible. Due to the water main break in DeKalb County and the quick loss of water pressure here at St. Pius X , we will dismiss at 12:07 p.m. On campus after school extracurricular activities are canceled. All off-campus events will remain as scheduled.

Due to the continuance of freezing temperatures expected overnight making roadways treacherous, and out of an abundance of caution for our young drivers, school will close on Thursday, January 18, 2018.
