Help Hurricane Victims in Puerto Rico with Donations

Thursday, September 28, 2017

In light of all the destruction of the recent hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Jose, and now Maria, we as a St. Pius X community feel compelled to serve our brothers and sisters in Christ with even greater intentionality.

Puerto Rico has experienced great devastation, and they need our help. Puerto Rican restaurants in the greater Atlanta area are taking donations to ship down for all in crisis situations. Starting on Monday, October 2, 2017,  St. Pius X will be collecting donated items from the following list:

  • Batteries (C and D especially)
  • Baby Wipes (new and unopened)
  • Advil and Tylenol (new in box)
  • Baby Tylenol (new in box)
  • Insect Repellant (new and unopened)
  • Baby formula (new and unopened)
  • Diapers - any size - new packages are preferable
  • Travel sized toiletries (unused and in ziploc bag)
  • Bottled water (there is no drinking water on the island)
  • Hand sanitizer (new and unused)
  • Cleaning Products (new and unopened)
  • Feminine Hygiene Products (new and unopened)
  • Trash bags - any size

Collection bins will be located in Campus Ministry, and in theology classrooms. On FRIDAY, October 6, 2017,  we will sort these donations during lunch periods.

Please be generous! We have volunteers to take these goods to the restaurants so they may be shipped over via plane in the next week or so.  Thank you for your generosity.
