Being a Catholic school, spirituality is a large part of who we are. So the Mothers’ Club offers many different opportunities for our members to come together and grow in faith.

Mothers' Prayer Group: This group provides uniform prayer support for the students, faculty and staff of the St. Pius community monthly at 8:30am on the following Wednesdays in the chapel:

  • 08/22/18 – 09/19/18 – 10/17/18 – 11/14/18 – 12/12/18
  • 01/16/19 – 02/20/19 – 03/20/19 – 04/17/19 – 05/8/19

This committee also gifts a hand crafted prayer tile to each Senior, a wonderful remembrance of our school and a special project to be involved in.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament: This group coordinates Adoration each Friday in the Chapel. Guardians are sought for one-hour time slots between 8:00am and 3:00pm, beginning August 24th. This is a joint effort through Campus Ministry and the Mother’s Club. Guardianship is open to Pius students, parents, grandparents and alumnae. If you would like to either be a permanent Guardian (ex. The 1st Friday of each month, 9-10am) or a substitute Guardian (sign up when available), please contact Jessica Kuipers, jess@ismweb.com.  (**We need a shadow to lead this committee for the 2019-2020 school year**)

Mothers’ Annual Retreat: All moms are invited to attend this beautiful day of reflection and spiritual growth. Each year has a special theme and guest speaker. There will also be lunch and the opportunity for reconciliation. February 23, 2019 from 8:30am - 1:00pm

Advent by Candlelight: Everyone is invited to attend this magical evening event that is both social and spiritual. A wonderful way to prepare our hearts and minds for the holy season of Advent (as well as for the busy holidays ahead!). This event brings together women of St. Pius X (moms, faculty, friends and family) for an evening of food and fellowship. Join us on SUNDAY, December 2nd at 7:00 p.m. in the St. Pius Cafeteria. Click here for Table Reservations! Our special guest this year is Tonya Shoemaker, the Coordinator of Religious Education at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School.  She holds a Masters degree from Spring Hill College in Theological Studies and speaks about Scripture, Sacraments, and Safe Environment. Her topic for this evening will be “Advent as a season of Hope and Renewal”. **We NEED SHADOWS for this event! It will be very helpful to get involved as soon as possible – please contact Laura or Wynne if you are interested in Co-Chairing this event next year (2019). This is one event, but it is very special and very popular!
