Community Guidelines for Athletic Events
St. Pius X Catholic High School Athletic Department 2020-2021 Event Guidelines
All contests, at all levels, are restricted to immediate family members only.
Immediate family includes parents, step parents, and siblings for athletes.
For staff immediate family includes spouse and children.
*Special considerations can be requested through the athletic director by the varsity head coach.
**GHSA Passes accepted for administration from the visiting school only.
Bands are not permitted. However, with masks and social distancing, drum lines are approved.
Spirit Cheer squads are permitted. Social distancing is a must at all times.
Until further notice, stunting of any kind is prohibited.
Students, faculty, and staff are not permitted unless part of the event management crew.
Every person entering the contest must be screened and have their temperature taken.
Temperatures of 100.0 or higher will be denied admission.
Every person entering is required to have and wear a mask and maintain social distance.
Expected use of Masks
Masks are required for all spectators, volunteers, and event personnel. This includes fans, gate and concession workers, security, parking personnel, and all who access or utilize the press box.
Masks with ventilators are prohibited at SPX.
Event Ticketing Procedure
Ticket Gate opens at 1 hour prior to the scheduled event start time.
SPX will utilize Touchless/no cash. Check cards or credit cards only.
SPX will use a home pass list and visitor pass list created by each head coach.
Check Card/Credit card purchases only. Our menu will be scaled back to prepackaged items only. Chick-fil-A is approved as a pre-packaged food. Bottled drinks only. Screening and masks are required.
Venues may have no concessions available.
Access to playing area and press box
No one, other than athletes, coaches, officials, support staff for the event, and school administrators may access the playing area, press box, or scorers table at any time.
Regardless of credentials, all representing the media/ photography must have permission from the athletic director in advance and be fully screened. Access will be extremely limited.
For Varsity Football: Boosters/Sponsors who are parents of athletes in the competition may utilize reserved parking. Other events are first come first served.
Gathering and tailgating of any kind is prohibited on SPX property
***The AoA and St. Pius X Officials will continue to closely monitor GHSA, CDC, state, and local health recommendations. The current situation is fluid and subject to change with AoA approval
***Event management, when we play on the road, will be up to each host school system/school. Please read all information from your athletes' head coach carefully before you leave home.
