Coach Lancaster Inducted into Wrestling Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Coach Mike Lancaster who was selected to the Georgia Chapter of the National Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame in the Lifetime Service to Wrestling category on Wednesday, December 1 at Berkmar High School. The mission of the Hall of Fame is to honor the sport of wrestling by preserving its history, recognizing extraordinary individual achievements, and inspiring future generations.

Recognized alongside seven other Berkmar coaches, Lancaster has served as Head Coach of the Golden Lions since 2014. Throughout his 41- year tenure as a wrestling coach, the 1978 graduate of Georgia State University has served as head coach at Rockdale County, Druid Hills, Duluth and twice at Berkmar. He was named Coach of the Year in 1998 by the Gwinnett County Takedown Club.  In addition to his wrestling duties, he also serves as an assistant football and baseball coach for St. Pius X and was inducted into the Class of 2020 National Wrestling Hall of Fame as well.
