Coach Morgan Carney- Competition Cheerleading Head Coach

This is Coach Morgan Carney’s (SPX ’08) ninth year coaching Competition Cheerleading at St. Pius X. An AP English Language and English Literature and Composition II teacher, she feels so grateful to teach and coach at SPX; she also coaches tennis. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in English Education and has her Master’s in Reading, Writing, and Digital Media Literacy from Northern Arizona University.  With an extensive background in dance, Coach Carney loves working with the girls and expects great things from them this season. Coach Gabby Atlow – Competition Cheerleading Assistant Coach

Gabby Atlow (SPX ’15) is excited to be a part of the competition cheer program at SPX this year. During her time as a student at St. Pius, she cheered Varsity Spirit and Competition. After graduating from Georgia College & State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology, she worked as a First Impressions Specialist at Nevada Benefits Corporations. Back home in Georgia, she works as a third-grade assistant teacher at Our Lady of the Assumption.

Coach Karriem Patrick – Competition Cheerleading Assistant Coach

Karriem Patrick is a skilled cheer, gymnastics, and dance instructor. Graduating from North Atlanta High School, Karriem has worked as a gymnastics coach at Buckhead Gymnastics Center since 2013.  In 2019, he started coaching at Atlanta Elite. He is thrilled to join the team at St. Pius where he looks forward to honing the athletes’ skills and improving their routine.
