2022 Season Information
Welcome to the 2022 Girls Lacrosse Season! If you are interested in trying out, the details will follow soon. However, while awaiting that news you should be doing your best to grow your lax IQ and develop your skills. Here is some info that will help in that regard:
Speed and Agility Training
Our Speed and Agility program just completed with Coach Lexi. The players worked very hard at increasing their flexibility, speed and overall agility. These sessions were by no means a cake-walk as Coach Lexi aims to get the best out of every participant. Her sessions just ended for the July break window however if interested in 'sneaking in' some work ahead of our Sept start-up, here is her contact info:

Weight-Lifting and Conditioning
Coach Liccardo just completed his learn-2-lift clinics to a resounding success. He is overwhelmed with pride on how our lady laxer's are jumping on the gym-rat bandwagon and pushing the metal! We had over 25 players working on their core strength and conditioning in preparation for the Spring tryouts (and yes we plan on cuts - no more nice guy - we need to step up and take care of business). So, are you hitting the gym and putting in the reps? If not reach out to Coach below because the competition from this year's incoming class is going to be fierce!

Wall Ball Routine
Find a hard surface that is about 10 feet tall; preferably smooth and away from windows or breakable objects. A brick or block wall will work. (Note, many players use the side of the concession stand) 15-30 minutes several times a week will greatly improve your throwing and catching skills.
Stand about 10-15 feet away from the wall. Pick a brick, block or spot and try to hit that.

Mix it up! Vary the rep and patterns. Move along the wall as you throw and catch. Throw and catch one-handed. Add some fakes and dodges.
All St. Pius X Girls' Lacrosse players are encouraged to play lacrosse outside of the regular school season. Club lacrosse offers opportunities to build and improve lacrosse skills, compete at the regional and national level, and build relationships with other lacrosse players and coaches in the area. In addition, St. Pius X may organize teams to practice and compete in local pre-season tournaments during the fall.
