TORY LEWIS
HEAD FRESHMAN COACH
Coach Lewis, begins his first season with St. Pius X Catholic School, has over seventeen years coaching experience that includes recreation, aau, middle/high school, and college. He currently also coaches with Pro Skills Basketball, an Under Armour affiliate along with 6/7th grade division coach with Northside Youth Organization (NYO) in Buckhead. In 2016, Coach Lewis received the Butch Dean Coach of the Year Award.
Born into a military household, Coach Lewis was born abroad and had the opportunity to live internationally in Germany and France. In high school, Tory played for North Hardin in Kentucky, coached by Ron Bevars who remains as the winningest coach in Kentucky high school basketball history. A three year varsity letterman, his team was three time district champions, two time region champions, and earned two sweet sixteen state tournament appearances.
A 2001 graduate of Wilberforce University in Ohio where he walked on his first two years and later as student coach/manager. Coach Lewis is a proud alumnus where he serves as a Board of Trustee Alumni Representative for Wilberforce University Alumni Association. President of Wilberforce University Booster Club and President of Wilberforce University Atlanta Alumni Chapter. Coach Lewis is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and married with three children ages 21, 14 and 4.
Coach Lewis lives daily by Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge, he shall direct thy path.
