7th Grade Basketball Tryout Results

KEVIN LEWIS
HEAD COACH
Coach Lewis (SPX ’13) enters his 1st year as a head coach on the staff.  He was a part of the first two teams under Coach Parr and made a run in the state tournament his senior year.  Coach Lewis has helped out as an assistant coach for the last few years for the 7th and 8th grade teams.  He graduated from Auburn University in 2018 with a degree in Civil Engineering.  Coach Lewis has worked for a general contractor since graduating and moving back to Atlanta.

TYLER GEE
ASSISTANT COACH
Tyler is beginning his second year as an Assistant Coach for the 7th Grade Pius Boys team. Tyler is a 2013 graduate of St. Pius X and played basketball all four years. During his Senior season, the team reached the Elite Eight of the State Tournament. He went on to play four years of basketball at Rhodes College as a two year Captain while earning an undergraduate degree and Masters of Accounting. Tyler received First Team All-Conference honors his Senior season while earning the Defensive Player of the Year Award for the Southern Athletic Association. During his four year career at Rhodes, the Lynx won two regular season conference championships and a conference tournament championship earning a bid to the national tournament. Tyler was a two time team MVP, two time team Defensive Player of the Year, First Team All-Tournament selection, and the Male Athlete of the Year for Rhodes College his Senior year. After graduating from Rhodes, Tyler stuck around to earn a Masters of Accounting while serving as a Graduate Assistant for the Rhodes Men's Basketball team. He currently lives and works in Finance in Atlanta and is engaged to his fiancee Taylor. 

CARSON VISCO
ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Visco enters his 1st year as a coach on the staff.  Carson is a graduate of St. Pius X (2011) and played basketball for two years. Coach Lewis has helped out as an assistant coach for the last few years for the 7th and 8th grade teams.  He graduated from Valdosta State University in 2016 with a degree in Healthcare Administration.  After graduating, he earned a Master’s in Athletic Administration from Ohio University in 2021. Coach Visco has coached baseball, basketball and soccer while teaching at St. Martin’s Episcopal School in Brookhaven.
