Mike Abreu received a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of North Georgia in 2013 and a Master’s degree in music education from the University of Georgia in 2019, both with a focus in choral music. He’s spent 9 years teaching music in Dekalb, Gwinnett, and Forsyth. During his recent experience at Riverwatch Middle School, he led a choral music program of 250+ students where they consistently received excellent and superior ratings from LGPE and Festival Disney. He has also led music ministries for the Archdiocese of Atlanta at St. Brigid Catholic Church and Good Shepherd Catholic Church where he serves currently. He also performs for Weddings, Funerals, and various special events as a vocalist and bass guitarist.
Mr. Abreu lives in Cumming, GA with his wife and daughter. In his spare time, he spends time at the gym, boxing, composing music, enjoys games with the family, and farming.
