Throughout the year, the Admissions Office offers a variety of opportunities for prospective families to explore St. Pius X. From campus tours and shadow days to open house events and special programs, each visit provides an authentic look at our vibrant community in action.

A Shadow Day is the best way for a prospective student to experience what it is like to be a Golden Lion. Shadow Day registration is available through Ravenna and is open to students in eighth grade and above. For partner schools with larger groups, we schedule designated Shadow Days to minimize disruption to their academic calendars while providing a meaningful visit experience.
Student Schedule: 8:30am – 1:15pm
Itinerary: Students begin with a brief welcome session with our leadership team, followed by a campus tour led by our Lion Leaders. Students are then paired with a host student to attend three academic classes and enjoy lunch in our cafeteria.
Attire: Students should wear their current school uniform if applicable. If not, business casual attire is requested.
Materials & Lunch: If a student visits a class that includes a quiz or test, we ask that they bring a book to read. Lunch is provided, and students may select from options offered by Sage Dining.
Parent Schedule (Optional): 8:30am – 9:45am
Parents are invited to join a welcome session with our leadership team and a campus tour led by our Lion Leaders. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided. After the tour, parents will depart as students begin their Shadow Day experience with their host students. Student pick-up is at 1:15 PM in the front circle.
Shadow Day Dates
We offer both partner school-specific Shadow Days and general Shadow Days throughout the fall and winter. Partner school dates are designed to support visiting groups while minimizing disruption to school calendars.

As you explore campus, you’ll meet faculty and students from every corner of school life—Academic Departments, Fine Arts, Student Organizations, and Athletic teams—each ready to share their passion and answer your questions. From academic classrooms to performance spaces and athletic fields, you’ll get a true sense of what it means to be a Golden Lion.
For families with students in 8th grade and above:
Tours are included as part of our Shadow Day experience. Parents are invited to join their students for a portion of the day (8:30–9:45 AM), which includes a welcome session with our leadership team and a guided campus tour led by our Lion Leaders. Shadow Day registration is available through Ravenna.
For families with students in 5th, 6th, or 7th grade:
We invite younger prospective families to join us for the Pius Preview event on Thursday, March 12, 2026. This special morning experience (8:30–9:45 AM) includes a welcome session and guided tour of campus designed to introduce families to the St. Pius X community.
The Pius Preview is typically a parent-focused event, though students are welcome to attend if families would like them to join. Registration for Pius Preview is available through the link below.
