Jenniffer M. Kapp, M.S., LPC Director of Counseling
Mrs. Kapp has worked at St. Pius X since 2001, and as Director of Guidance and Counseling since 2008. In addition to her current role, Mrs. Kapp has served the SPX community as head cheerleading coach (2002-2004) and dance assistant (2002-2003). She received her Bachelor of Arts from Winthrop University (Psychology major and Dance minor) and a Master of Science degree from Georgia State University in professional counseling. Outside of school, Mrs. Kapp works as a Licensed Professional Counselor in a private practice and teaches Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP). Mrs. Kapp and her three sisters are all St. Pius X graduates. Mrs. Kapp lives in Dunwoody with her husband and children.
Arline Umpierre, M.Ed. Professional School Counselor
Mrs. Umpierre has worked at St. Pius since 2016. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgia State University and a Master’s in School Counseling from American Public University. Prior to coming to St. Pius X, she was both a school counselor and teacher for Gwinnett County Schools. Mrs. Umpierre lives in Atlanta with her husband and two children. Outside of school, she enjoys playing tennis and decorating.
Mary Pat Martin, LCSW, MAT Professional School Counselor
Mrs. Martin has worked at St. Pius X since 2014. She has coached Cross Country and is currently the Golden Lions Junior Varsity Track Coach (2010-present). Mrs. Martin loves running and eating chocolate. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Georgia State University, a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia, and a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Mercer University. Mrs. Martin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified School Social Worker and Teacher in Georgia. She has experience working as a medical social worker and school counselor. Prior to coming to SPX, she was both a school counselor and teacher at Immaculate Heart of Mary School for ten years. Mrs. Martin and her husband James are both St. Pius X graduates and live in Atlanta and are the proud parents of four St. Pius X graduates.
Marcelyn Linsey, M.Ed., Ph.d. Professional School Counselor
Dr. Linsey joined the St. Pius X Counseling Department in 2019, after developing college and counseling program curricula for six years in international schools in Qatar and Brazil. Prior to those settings, Dr. Linsey served the DeKalb County School District as a counselor and teacher. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Childhood Education (concentration in English and Social Science), Master of Education in School Counseling and Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership. She is passionate about exploring other cultures, learning new things, baking and spending time with family.
Blair Park, Ed.S. Professional School Counselor
Mrs. Park joins the St. Pius family after working as a school counselor for Gwinnett County Public Schools for eleven years. She received her Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from Georgia College & State University, her Master’s of Science (School Counseling) from Mercer University, and her Educational Specialist degree in School Counseling from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Park is a certified School Counselor in Georgia. She lives in Decatur with her husband, son, and dog, Jasper. Mrs. Park loves yoga and traveling with her family.
Christi Caragher, Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Caragher is a graduate of the St. Pius X Class of 1988 and has been working at the school since 2013. She is a graduate of Auburn University. Mrs. Caragher lives in Forsyth, and is the proud parent of: Michael ’14 and Nick ‘17.
