Welcome
Welcome to St. Pius X Catholic High School, home of the Golden Lions! As you become familiar with our school through this site, we hope you will acquire a strong sense of our school’s unique mission.
St. Pius X is currently celebrating 65 years of educating young men and women for the Lord. Today, our school has nearly 1,100 well-rounded students, more than 130 faculty members (80 percent of whom have advanced degrees), and thousands of alumni and supporters.
Our mission is to provide a college preparatory education for the formation of the mind, body, and spirit of each student in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church. From our rich Catholic traditions, outstanding academics, award-winning fine arts, and nationally recognized athletic program, you will find a school dedicated to young people and creating a firm foundation for our students’ futures.
Our motto at St. Pius X is “Domini Sumus” – “We are the Lord’s.” It is from this central belief that our school thrives and has created a strong sense of family. Students and families come to St. Pius X and feel that difference in our inclusiveness.
We encourage you to join us on campus and experience our many events to see firsthand what makes us special. May God bless you and may He continue to bless St. Pius X Catholic High School.
Sincerely,
Aaron Parr, President
Edye Simpson, Principal
Edye Simpson
Principal
In February 2020, Edye Simpson was named Principal of St. Pius X, following 17 years of serving this school community as Dean of Student Life. Dr. Simpson is well-respected in the Pius community and is a valued member of the administrative team. She has been working in the education field for nearly 30 years and appreciates the culture and traditions of St. Pius X. As Dean of Student Life, she was involved in many different areas of students’ lives, from discipline to listening to students’ concerns, to training teachers. She served as liaison for diversity and inclusion, helping coordinate the works of our student, parent, and faculty committees. As a parent of a recent graduate, Dr. Simpson understands firsthand the many ways a Pius education prepares our young people for college and life.
