St. Pius X Students Join Together to Fight Hunger
March 15th, 2017
On Friday, March 3, the St. Pius X student body came together with the support of the Campus Ministry department and the Senior Council to assemble, weigh, seal, and package 35,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger.
Throughout the day, students took to the gym during their scheduled theology classes and worked together to truly make a difference with this school-wide Works of Mercy project. Meals were filled with bags of soy protein, dehydrated vegetables, a vitamin and mineral supplement, and rice. These meals will likely be sent to Zambia, Africa.
