Class of 2022: Freshman Orientation

Dear Freshmen Parents:
 
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year!

On Friday, August 3, 2018, we will have an orientation for freshmen students only beginning at 8 a.m. and dismissing at 12 noon.

All freshmen students are requested to report in full uniform to the Young Center Auditorium no later than 7:55 a.m. The program will begin at 8 a.m. and will include the following:
  • Presentations by Mr. Barwick, our President, and Mr. Spellman, our Principal
  • Introduction of student counselors, Deans of Students, and Chaplain
  • Archdiocesan mandatory Virtus training for all Archdiocesan students
  • Homeroom time
  • Wi-Fi and PowerSchool Learning instruction
  • Review of the Works of Mercy program
  • Review of the Honor Code
  • Review of general behavior expectations/uniforms
After you have dropped off your freshmen student, you are welcome to stay for the Freshmen Parent Coffee hosted by our Home & School Association beginning at 8 a.m. in the back/practice gym. Volunteers will be on campus to direct you to the right location. Please note that this is for parents/adults only, NO children please, as there will be no childcare provided. You may park in any parking space that does not contain a "T" as those are reserved for faculty and staff.

Also, on Saturday, August 11, 2018 we will host Camp Golden Lion for all new students and their parents. Registration begins at 4:30 p.m. Mass will begin promptly at 5 p.m. in the back gym and after Mass, Home & School will host the parents for dinner and a presentation in the cafeteria and all of the new students will remain together after Mass for Camp Golden Lion games and pizza. Please watch your family email account for more information within the next couple of weeks.
