St. Pius X Announces Academic Honors

The Office of Academics at St. Pius X Catholic High School recently announced several academic accolades for both students and faculty. Included in the achievements were the valedictorian and salutatorian of the senior class, as well as the STAR student and teacher.

The valedictorian for the Class of 2014 is Margaret Crawford, while the salutatorian is Isioma Obiofuma. These honors are announced after the first semester of the recipients senior year.

St. Pius X also announced its Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program student and teacher. Senior Christina DeLurgio  was selected as the STAR student, while English instructor Melissa Page was named the STAR teacher for 2013-14. The STAR program honors Georgia's outstanding high school seniors and the teachers who have been most instrumental in their academic development. During the past 55 years, the STAR Program has honored more than 23,500 high school seniors who have in turn chosen their STAR Teachers to share in this recognition.
