St. Pius X Announces Academic Achievements

St. Pius X Catholic High School is pleased to announce recent recipients of academic accolades. These include students named Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. In addition, five students were named Semifinalists, which is awarded to the highest-scoring participants in each state.

The National Merit Scholarship Program provides opportunities for scholarships to outstanding students throughout the country who succeed in their studies and perform with excellence on the PSAT examination. Commended Students are recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry.

The students recognized as Commended Students from St. Pius X are: Andrew W. Barnhardt, Paul A. Benoit, Joseph B Cavalli, Catherine V. Corwin, Rebecca A. Entrekin, Stephen W. Jacon, Jack R. Ludwick, John B. Maxson, Robert P. Moots, Tristan A. Otto, Nina E. Patronis, William S. Porter, Kyle B. Ryker and Claire S. Smith.

The students recognized as Semifinalists from St. Pius X are: Carter A. Grabbe, Connor J. Huddleston, Andrew J. Jacon, Joe W. Kilpatrick, and Caroline R. Porter.
