Tyner '18 Inducted Into Youth Leadership Sandy Springs
August 19th, 2015

Congratulations to sophomore Sarah Tyner, who was inducted into the fifth class of Youth Leadership Sandy Springs on August 13.

Sarah joins 39 students from 10 other schools for a year of leadership training and civic engagement programs beginning with an opening retreat on Outward Bound’s ropes course followed by a cell phone scavenger hunt in September.

Throughout the year, she’ll meet with city leaders at city hall, take part in a mock trial, get a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement, go to jail, explore the Chattahoochee River and city parks, meet with developers and city planners to redevelop the city center and work at non-profits.

In the spring, after investigating the needs of the community, the group will work together on a joint service project.

Congratulations, Sarah!
