Students Earn Girl & Boy Scout Awards
March 19th, 2013

Six St. Pius X girls have earned the Girl Scout Gold Award this year and were recognized at the Fox Theater last weekend. The Greater Atlanta Council is approximately half the state of Georgia.  There were only 113 girls that received the award this year. The students honored were Anna Democko, Emily Eanes, Caroline Harvey, Meagan Huff, Annette McDermott and Anika Snyder.

The Gold Award is the Girl Scout's equivalent of the Boy Scout's Eagle Award.  The award is a multi-year process as it involves an 80+ hour service project along with all of the pre-requisites.

In addition to the Gold Awards, one St. Pius X Boy Scout earned his Eagle Rank recently.  Sophomore Phillip Davignon received his Boy Scout Eagle Rank in November of last year.
