We are pleased to provide you with the St. Pius X weekly e-newsletter, eSPX. The newsletter, which is sent every Monday during the school year, includes information about happenings at St. Pius X.
Mini-Class Night, 8/28

Fine Arts Meeting 8/28 at 6:15pm
There will be a St. Pius X Fine Arts Society meeting for all Parents of students currently enrolled in Fine Arts Classes, Art Association, Pius Players, Tech Crew, and/or Flag line prior to Mini-Class Night, on August 28 at 6:15pm. Attendance is mandatory. If you are unable to attend, please contact your SPX Fine Arts teacher. Mini-Class night will follow at 7pm.
Senior Yearbook Ad Deadline 8/28
Senior Parents: If you wish to purchase a parent ad for the 2015 yearbook, please read the information packet posted on the journalism webpage. All materials are due no later than Thursday, August 28, 2014. There is a $50 late fee for ads not submitted by the deadline, and late ads run the risk of not appearing in the yearbook. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Ashley Curlette.
SAT Prep Class Early Registration Deadline 8/29
The SAT Prep course offered to St. Pius X students consists of 4 hours of class for 4 consecutive Saturdays: September 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $200 (on/or before August 29, 2014) or $225 (after August 30, 2014) and is paid at the time of registration. Mothers' Prayer Group 8/27 at 8:30am
The Mothers Prayer Group will meet this Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 8:30am in the school chapel for Mass with our chaplain, Fr. Michael Silloway. Please come join us as we begin a new year of prayerful support for our school community. The Mothers Prayer Group, led this year by Gina Rufolo and Ann Lynch, is a wonderful way to meet other moms and help our school in a powerful way. We meet monthly so please check the calendar for all upcoming dates. We hope to see you there!
Library Board Volunteer Needed
The Library Board is seeking a parent representative to serve on the Board for the school year 2014-2015. The purpose of the Library Board is to serve as an advisory committee with respect to resources and services that are offered to our patrons. The Library Board meets twice a year, Sept. 16 and February 17 at 3:15pm. If interested, please contact Meggan Wilcauskas.
Campus Ministry Information
Domini Sumus Student Retreat Feb 6-8
Save the Date! St. Pius X will be offering our first annual Domini Sumus Retreat. This retreat is being led by a team of Junior and Senior Students with the help of Campus Ministry and a team of dedicated faculty and staff. We are excited to offer this opportunity for our students to grow in their faith. Registration will be available in October. All students are invited to take part in this weekend retreat. If you would like more information, please contact Gayle Ohrenberger, Director of Campus Ministry.
Spring Break Mission Trips
Information and online applications for this year's spring break mission trips will be sent to all student email accounts on Monday August 18. This year we will be serving at Mustard Seed Communities in both Kingston Jamaica and Managua Nicaragua from Saturday April 4 through Saturday April 11. Preference is given to upper classmen who have not yet had an opportunity to serve on a St. Pius X Mission team. If you would like to learn more about our spring break mission program please consider joining us for an informational meeting on Monday August 25 at 6PM in the St. Pius X Library. This meeting is not required to be a part of the mission program, but it is encouraged so that you and your student can make an informed and prayerful decision about applying for the program. If you have any questions please contact Gayle Ohrenberger, Director of Campus Ministry.
Parent chaperones are needed for our annual Class Pilgrimages. We are always honored by the support and presence of our parents on these important days. If you are interested in chaperoning any of the pilgrimages, please contact Kathleen Swann in Campus Ministry. The dates of this year's pilgrimages are as follows:
Freshmen - Stone Mountain - Monday September 15th
Sophomores - Monastery of the Holy Spirit - Monday October 20th
Juniors - Atlanta Vocations Retreat - Wednesday November 5th
Seniors - Stone Mountain - Monday April 27th
Weekly Sacramental Schedule

Invitation to All School Mass
Please be welcome to join with our St. Pius X family in prayer at our monthly All School Masses. All School Masses are listed on the school calendar on the St. Pius X homepage. Most Masses begin at 9:15 AM and will be celebrated in the St. Pius X gym.
Georgia ADAP Certificate Information
Parents / Students needing a Georgia ADAP certificate should send an e-mail to Chad Garrison with the following information:
1. Full name as it appears on the child's birth certificate
2. Date of birth
3. School year and semester the student took health
Please send the request at least 3 days before the certificate is needed. This should be requested ONLY if your child is testing for a Georgia Driver's License.
Junior Research Paper Information
If your child encounters problems with finding information or citing information for their history research paper, please have your student make an appointment with one of your librarians for individualized help. Appointments are twenty minutes long and are available various days with various time slots. Please follow the link below to make an appointment. To ensure that we can keep our schedule, it is required that appointments are made by 2pm prior to the appointment day you requested.
