Mini-class night for second semester will be held at 7pm on Thursday,
23rd ANNUAL DAD'S
MORNING OF RECOLLECTION WITH MSGR. LOPEZ
Monsignor Richard Lopez and Chaplain Fr. Michael Silloway will host “Dad’s
Morning of Recollection” on Saturday, January 25, 2014. The event which
celebrates our shared faith and commitment to fatherhood is in its 23rd year,
and is open to all past, present and future St. Pius X alumni, fathers,
grandfathers and friends. The event will begin at 8:30am with Mass and will
conclude at 12:30pm with the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The theme for this
year's event is "A Dad's Best Friend." For more information or

ST. PIUS X ALUMNI
TEAM TRIVIA CONTEST, JAN. 25
Trivia Night at St. Pius X! January 25, 2014 7pm Join teams of alumni,
faculty & staff, parents, and friends of St. Pius X Catholic High School as
we play for the trivia jackpot! This high energy evening brings out trivia
lovers from all around the metro area! The cost to play is $150 for a team of
ten players. We will provide a cash bar for beer and wine. You can bring your
own food and drink. Galla's Pizza will also be taking orders and delivering
throughout the evening. Besides the unique trivia game, we will have raffles
with great prizes. This event is restricted to adults 21 years old and
older. This fun-filled evening is a benefit for the Alumni Scholarship

SERVICE DAY-FEBRUARY 1
In support and honor of SPX Mothers affected by breast cancer, we sew small
pillows for patients to use during treatment or under a seat belt and donate
them to area treatment centers. If you have a sewing machine and can help
on Saturday, February 1 from 9-12, please email email@example.com Also, if you
know a treatment center that could use the pillows, please contact Rita.
Weekly Sacramental Schedule
Under the patronage of St. Pius X, Pope of the Eucharist, we are pleased to
offer the following opportunities to receive the Sacraments at St. Pius X on a
regular basis. Please note the fall schedule:
Daily Mass: Monday – Friday 7:15 AM (even when there is a late start), Tuesdays
4th period, Wednesdays 5th period, Thursdays 6th period
Confession: Mondays during all the lunch periods
Eucharistic Adoration: Fridays all day (8AM – 3PM) starting Friday September
Parents / Students needing a Georgia ADAP certificate should send an
e-mail to Chad Garrison with the
1. Full name as it appears on the child’s birth certificate
2. Date of birth
3. School year and semester the student took health
Please send the request at least 5 days before the certificate is
needed. This should be requested ONLY if your child is testing for a
Georgia Driver's License.
INFORMATION FROM THE ACADEMICS OFFICE
Pius X Catholic High School will be introducing a new Student Information
System for the 2014-2015 academic school year. This program will allow parents
and students better access to academic information.
Also, new for next year is the implementation of SPX family emails. An SPX
family email will be issued to each currently enrolled 9th, 10th, and 11th
grade student. Starting with the 2014-2015 academic year, these emails will
become the main source of electronic communication. Parents will be given
instructions on how to forward from this SPX family email to existing personal
email accounts for convenience.
Look for more information about these new and exciting changes on the SPX.org
web site and through eSPX newsletters starting January 2014.
TRAINING FOR EFFECTIVE PARENTING CLASSES
you want to improve interactions with your teen? Ever wondered how to avoid
power struggles? Do you struggle with establishing effective and meaningful
discipline strategies in your household? Back by popular demand, counselors Dr.
Meredith A. Miller and Jenniffer Kapp will be teaching their Systematic
Training for Effective Parenting course. Classes will be offered on Thursday
nights Starting 1/30/14 and ending 3/6/14 from 6:45 PM – 8:15 PM. The cost of
the program is $120 per family and includes a workbook for you to keep. Spaces
are limited, so reserve your spot soon. Please complete a registration

The Mothers' Club is collecting Toiletries to be donated to the Homeless.
Please, bring in all your unused small bottles of shampoo, cream rinse, tooth
paste, soaps, deodorant, mouth wash, etc. to be packaged up and delivered to
the homeless in February. Place your items in the marked bin outside the campus
ANNUAL ST. PIUS X JURIED ARTS SHOW SUBMISSIONS
for the Ninth Annual Juried Visual Arts Exhibition are due on Tuesday, February
4 at 3pm in the Art Room. Categories for submission are 3D Design, Ceramics,
Mixed Media, 2D Design, Photography, Painting, and Drawing. For more
