This
is Ms. Kramer's first year teaching at St. Pius. She will be teaching
United States History and World History, as well as coaching the
varsity basketball cheerleaders.
Upon
graduating from St. Pius X in 1998, Ms. Kramer attended the University
of Notre Dame, graduating summa cum laude with a double major in
history/American Studies. She participated in Notre Dame's Alliance
for Catholic Education (ACE) program and was assigned to teach at
Annunciation Catholic School in Middleburg , Florida ( Jacksonville
). She earned her Masters in Education from Notre Dame in 2004.

Ms.
Kramer taught seventh and eighth grade English, literature, American
history, and religion for three years in Middleburg, where she also
coached cheerleading and moderated student council, National Junior
Honor Society, the Alumni Association and a student book club. Ms.
Kramer returned to Atlanta and taught for Gwinnett County Public
Schools for two years, where she worked with English as a Second
Language students (ESL).

Ms.
Kramer presented at the 2005 National Council for Social Studies
conference in Kansas City and recently had a reflective narrative
published in a book about the ACE program: Beyond Alternative
Teacher Education: Integrating Teaching, Community, Spirituality,
and Leadership.
