Ms. Batres has been teaching Social Studies at St. Pius X Catholic High School since 2002.  She currently teaches US History, Government, and Economics.  Before coming to SPX she taught middle school Social Studies for five years at Christ the King School in Buckhead.

Ms. Batres was born and raised in Little Rock, AR, though most of her extended family lives in Guatemala, so she is also fluent in Spanish.  She attended Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, where she received both a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's degree in Teaching. This fall Ms. Batres is beginning her law degree at Georgia State University College of Law.

Ms. Batres has served as the head cheerleading coach at St. Pius X since 2003 and is in her 12 th year of coaching cheerleading.  She currently coaches the SPX Varsity Competition Cheerleading squad.  She has also served as a junior class moderator.
