College Prep Freshmen English (CP2) supports the language development of college bound students.

Each semester will have a balance of composition, applied grammar, and literature. The development of vocabulary, speaking, listening, research, and test taking skills will be an integral part of the curriculum.

Units to be studied:

Willaiam Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet

Objectives:

To discuss, interpret, and analyze

To strengthen vocabulary of Shakespeare

To recognize Shakespeare sonnets/iambic pentameter

To examine characters

To visualize the Shakespeare world

To examine parallels and plot

Romeo.

Wednesday: R&J / West Side Story Snippet

Thursday: Romeo and Juliet Act III Open Book Quiz

Friday: View Film R&J

Monday 12: Acts I, II, III Test w/ Text. Last Test Date

Finish Acts IV and V of Romeo and Juliet

Begin Review for final exam. Finished.
