FAQ's about course setup

It is the intention of the tournament committee to set up the Traditions of Braselton Golf Club from the following tee marker plates:

BOYS - All white plates except...

# 3 (blue)

# 4 (blue)

# 18 (front of blue box - 520 yards).

GIRLS - All red plates except...

# 1 (328 yards, in front of normal red)

# 3 (gold)

# 8 (gold)

# 13 (gold)

# 14 (gold)

# 16 (gold)

# 17 (gold)

# 18 (gold)

In sum, these adjustments produce a course that falls into relative compliance with GHSA guidelines for Region Tournament course setup on total yardage.

Spectator Policy

Traditions of Braselton welcomes gallery members to watch the Region Championship.  However, please keep in mind that gallery members are to walk the course (carts available only to coaches, tournament staff, and individuals with DMV-certified handicap classification), and gallery members should remain on the cart paths and refrain from interacting with players while they are competing.

Directions to Traditions of Braselton:

Take I-85 North past the I-985 split, beyond Hamilton Mill, and past Chateau Elan.  Exit at GA HWY. 53 (# 129) and turn right.  In less than 1/2 mile, turn left on to GA 124 (you'll see an old brick tile and hardware store on the corner).  Drive approximately five miles (about 1 mile past the first four-way stop) until you see Traditions on the right.  The clubhouse is the first set of buildings on the right once you drive over the hill.

Please keep in mind that the average drive time from St. Pius X (exit 93/Shallowford on exit I-85) is ONE HOUR from campus to course.  Many people may want to add additional travel time to factor for traffic.
