Lisa Martin brings a wealth of training and experience to St. Pius X. She trained with the Gainesville Ballet and danced professionally with the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theater. She spent her summers studying with the Joffrey Ballet, the Charleston Ballet Theater, and the Lexington Ballet. While dancing with the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theater, Ms. Martin expanded her performance range by working with Salvatore Aiello, Tom Pazik, Sara Yarborough, Winthrop Corey, and Andrew Kuharsky. Ms. Martin graduated from Georgia State University and began her teaching career with the Duluth School of Ballet and the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theater. She has enhanced her knowledge as a dance educator by completing the state certification program through the University of Georgia as well as certificate programs with David Howard in New York City, Antioch University in Keene, New Hampshire and the Summer Dance Institute led by Anne Green Gilbert in Seattle, WA .  She received the St. Pius X Excellence in Teaching award in 2003 and 2008.

Ms. Martin began teaching at St. Pius X in the fall of 1998 and has served as Fine Arts Department Chair since 1999.

Lindsay Ouzts was born and raised in St. Simons Island, GA where she was classically trained by Eleanor Brooks, Jill Stanford Reeves, Christy Loper, and Terry Burns Smith. She has studied dance since the age of three and competed on both regional and national levels throughout high school and college. In the summer of 2000, she was selected as a Dance Minor at the Governor's Honors Program in Valdosta, GA. While a student at Berry College, Mrs. Ouzts studied with modern choreographer Jeanne Schul Elkins, founder and Artistic Director of the Berry College Dance Troupe and Dance Company. Additionally, she performed with the Vikettes jazz and hip-hop team.  After college, Mrs. Ouzts danced with the national champion WBA Rome Gladiators and later became chief choreographer and director of the Norcross High School Performing Arts Dance Team. She is a full-time English teacher at St. Pius X and also teaches company jazz classes at Simply Dancing Studio in Lilburn. Lindsay is married to her husband Patrick Harper Ouzts, Esq. and resides in Decatur.
