Message from the Director of Development
December 2nd, 2015

As Catholics our traditions are an important part of our faith. At Advent we light candles and focus our prayers on preparing our hearts for the birth of our Savior. Many families put up a Jesse tree or an Advent Calendar. Some families don’t decorate until Advent or put up a tree and decorations the day after Thanksgiving. In my family, as children we were so excited to put up the tree (always real) and go through the collection of ornaments. Although there were always a few valuable ones, it was the small childhood ornaments we would find and point out proudly each year. I remember my mom had made the animals on my crib mobile into ornaments for the tree. Whether you celebrate on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, our holiday traditions are an important part of who we are.

At St. Pius X we have a tradition of giving back through support of the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund makes up the difference between tuition paid and the actual cost of educating our students. Every member of the community is asked to support the Annual Fund, from faculty and staff, current parents, alumni to parents of alumni and grandparents.

Contributions that are made before December 31, 2015 are eligible for a 2015 tax deduction. If you have questions about contributions please contact the Development Office.

I wish you and your family a very blessed Christmas.

Mary Ellen Cenzalli
