Welcome Letter from Ms. Spark
August 3rd, 2016

What a super fun drama workshop we had this year! We had several repeat students and familiar faces. The assistants were fantastic. Those who helped included Nic Caceres; Luke Shepherd, Haley Shaw; Nigel Sapp; Annie Martin; and Richard Guyton. Great talent and leadership.

Theatre lovers, do we have a season for you! The fall play is called The Last Day of School, and is a relevant picture of today's teens and how their emotions take over before they graduate. Music, video, graphics, and artwork are included in this 2016 clever play.

In November we offer a moving Holocaust selection, And Then They Came for Me, in collaboration with our colleague Mr. Dennis Ruggiero of the theology department. This show is a lovely and moving story graced with music and the words of Anne Frank.

Spring brings a theme of love and family and teaches that being "different" is not a bad thing. This family friendly show (not a "kiddie" show) has colorful characters based on the heartwarming story of The Ugly Duckling. The music is beautiful and all of the characters are adorable. Bring the younger set and don't forget the grandparents!

Our Disney Dreams show will get under way as soon as school begins. We will take the show to nursing homes and hospitals for our outreach project. Everyone loves Disney!

Welcome to all of our freshmen actors and parents. We will see you "on stage" very soon!

Don't Miss These Important Dates:
Thursday, August 11: Freshman Meeting after school in the Drama room
Saturday, August 13: Parent Meeting 9:30 - 11:00 in the Drama room (103)

Join SPAS today! We will see you in the theatre. God Bless.

Theatrically,
Bonnie Spark
Director Pius Players
