Home and School Association Presents Kyle Maynard
September 14th, 2012
The St. Pius X Home and School Association is proud to present Kyle Maynard on September 21, 2012. Kyle is a motivational speaker, author, entrepreneur, and athlete. He was born with a condition called congenital amputation, meaning he was born with arms that end at his elbows and legs that end near his knees. Despite his disability, Kyle’s parents pushed him to be as independent as possible. In his “pursuit of normalcy,” Kyle wrestled for one of the best teams in the Southeast, set records in weightlifting, fought in mixed martial arts, and recently became the first man to crawl on his own to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.
Kyle will present “No Excuses” to the students, where he teaches that there are no worthy excuses. He believes that no matter how challenging your difficulties may seem, everyone has the ability to overcome and succeed in life.
Kyle will be available for photos and a book signing following the event. His book is available for purchase online or via your FACTS account.
