Durr Brings Home Gold at 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship

Rising senior Asia Durr joined the 2014 USA Basketball Women’s U17 World Championship Team this past week in Pilsen, Czech Republic. Held every two years, the championship features 15 national teams qualified through zone tournaments and Slovakia.

The championship game was held July 6 where the United States faced Spain in a fight-to-the-finish match between two undefeated teams. Durr scored 17 points and four assists to help the United States bring home the gold for the third time in as many championships. The athlete also set a record for free-throw percentage (.882) for the United States.
